London: eat
After some tracks for walks in London, these are the addresses of restaurants where brunch, lunching or dining. For if there is one thing I take from London is the excellence of the dishes you can taste it!
Stupidly, I had rather the image of a capital without real culinary talent, fat based food and rude ... It's a little shame, I must say, as I discovered with great pleasure that the kitchen was an art in London: everywhere, they dug up them addresses where small sample dishes to die for!
First, there are brunches. Rich, excellent, sweet are chosen (scones, pancakes, bookoo fort polk muffins ...), salty (omelettes, sausage, bacon ...), or mixed. I fell into a swoon at the variety of dishes offered at breakfast. Not an address free of his carrot cake, cheesecake her, its pancakes, scones, crumpets and so on. The whole house, of course!
The lunches are often on the run, and "chains": contrary to what I thought, they are generally good addresses where to find simple, fresh dishes.
No way to miss the afternoon tea, accompanied with pastries bookoo fort polk to die for: I ate in London the best carrot cake in my life (even that of Rose Bakery in pales next ... It is to say! ).
Finally, the restaurants where you can dine offer a variety of incredible kitchens: Gastropub, French, Indian, Japanese, Italian, Chinese ... The least we can say is that London is a city of mixed culinary!
At the Breakfast Club, you can breakfast ... all day! Sweet or savory dishes, the menu offers dozens of ultra enticing tracks. The restaurant, meanwhile, is a small in terms of decor. It feels undeniably good.
The Breakfast Club - 5 places in London (I tested for myself the Breakfast Club located in the district of Hoxton, N1 6PE 2-4 Rufus Street - Tel. 020 7729 5252) // The orangery
A true ultra quiet interlude in the heart of Kensington Gardens, in the south of Notting Hill. The premise is simple, pastries to die for (try the scones and carrot cake!). One can go there for brunch, for lunch or tea. A real little gem!
I was rather dubious about Le Pain Quotidien. First, because the address is good, but no more, in France. But also because I do not like the concept of "channels". I would have been wrong to stop at these two arguments: Le Pain Quotidien is a great place to have breakfast, a quick lunch or eat a scone at teatime! (No, I'm not at all fixette on scones, bookoo fort polk it'll be fine ...).
There are twenty places in London. For my part, I tested the Notting Hill (well, nothing to say) and Saint Pancras (blah). bookoo fort polk You can find all addresses www.lepainquotidien.co.uk
Londoners do not necessarily mark of true lunch break. For my part, I confess that after brunches more than ample, I had a tendency to nibble a little salty stuff on the go. I discovered that London was full of chain restaurants, which, contrary to what I would have thought, are pretty bookoo fort polk good, even excellent. This is the case of Pret a Manger.
By far one of the best Japanese I have ever tested! In Abeno too, is prepared before your eyes delicious okonomiyaki, these kinds of Japanese bookoo fort polk omelet stuffed with meat, fish and other dishes.
// Other addresses not tested but were recommended to me, Albion, The Churchill arms, the Crazy Bear, The Elk in the woods, Sketch (where you can also go drink afternoon tea, obviously).
Test Ben's Cookies for real cookies to die for (although I still prefer the Laura Todd!). The Hummingbird pastry is CRAZY, I ate one of the best carrot cake ever! (Avoid Soho address, the shop is tiny and unwelcoming. However, the Notting Hill is top). Last but not least, do not miss a tasting at Fortnum and Mason ... Unmissable!
This is a hotel bar famous for its cocktails. And in fact, the card is excellently provided in the matter. Mojito bookoo fort polk and I tasted particularly notable.
